Zitko is already proudly affiliated with the Armed Forces Covenant, an organisation which aims to provide the Forces community with access to support services such as housing, financial help and education. Zitko greatly admires the Armed Forces Covenant’s efforts in creating a smoother transition for Forces personnel into civilian life, to the extent that we strive to emulate their mission through our Talent programme.
Zitko Group had astounding success The SME Huntingdonshire Business Awards 2021, being made finalists and winning in three categories, one of which was a special judge’s recognition award. We reached the finalist shortlist for Business of the Year Less than 50 Employees and were delighted to win the awards for Business Innovation, Employer of the Year and Overall Winner. This was the second time that Zitko has won Employer of the Year at these awards, an achievement that demonstrates our commitment to providing our people with a company led by values of inclusivity and high reward.
After shifting our focus to restructuring and re-evaluating our processes in the disruption of the pandemic, Zitko were incredibly proud to be recognised for our efforts at the IFSEC Awards 2021. We were made finalists in the Security Training Initiative, Security Partnering Initiative, Customer Care Initiative and Company Lockdown Hero of the Year categories.
Zitko were honoured to be made finalists at the BSIA Awards 2022 in the Innovative Security Project category. The British Security Industry Association is a highly esteemed organisation in our sector and one we greatly admire. Therefore, for them to recognise our determined efforts to challenge the increasing shortage of skilled engineers in the industry through our Talent training programme is a huge accomplishment.
Throughout the challenges brought about the pandemic, Zitko Group remained resilient in the continuous provision of our services and achieved some great financial successes because of it. For us to be made finalists in the Recruitment Company of the Year £0-2million Turnover was a huge step forward in us gaining recognition for our commitment to perseverance in adverse circumstances.
The OSPAs aim to give recognition to outstanding contributions to the security industry and receive a huge number of submissions from across the industry. We were recognised in the Outstanding Security Training Initiative and the Outstanding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative categories, both of which were for our Talent training programme. Talent is a programme that aims to improve our industry and ensure its longevity by making it inclusive and progressive, so this recognition was hugely rewarding. Incidentally, the high number of submissions for the 2022 awards set a new record, meaning Zitko Group being announced as finalists in two categories is an achievement to be even more proud of.
