Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security System Specialist to join their team. This role will be based in London, UK, embedded at a customer site, supporting their security technology deployments throughout the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining various security systems, including Access Control Systems (ACS), cameras, intercoms, HID readers, and related hardware. The Security System Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and effectiveness of our security solutions for a valued strategic client.
Key Responsibilities:● ACS Troubleshooting: End-to-end troubleshooting of Access Control Systems, including
configuration, integration, and resolving operational issues.
● Camera Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to surveillance cameras, ensuring optimal performance and video quality.
● Intercom Troubleshooting: Addressing problems with intercom systems, including connectivity and functionality issues.
● HID Readers and Mobile Reader Manager: Proficiency in managing HID readers, configuring Reader Manager, and understanding wiring requirements.
● Standards Execution: Implementing industry standards and best practices across all security systems and hardware installations.
● Hardware Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of security system hardware, including door hardware, locks, electrified hinges, and related components.
● Lenel Expertise: Experience with Lenel systems, including creation, troubleshooting, and programming of panels and readers.
● Access Control Programming: Ability to program panels and readers, add or modify access levels, set up schedules, alarms, and other security parameters.
● Documentation: Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, wiring schematics, as-built drawings, and related technical documentation.
● Adherence to Standards: Ensuring compliance with naming conventions, installation standards, and security protocols.
Qualifications ● Proven experience (3+ years) as a Security System Specialist or in a similar role, with a strong background in programming, troubleshooting and maintaining security systems.
● Proficiency in ACS systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Axis camera systems, 2N intercoms and HID readers. ● Familiarity with Lenel systems and other relevant security technologies. Lenel Certification preferred.● Ability to read and understand as-built drawings, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
● Computer fluency and the ability to access, configure and perform basic programming various security applications.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
