Apprentice Security Engineer – Chubb Fire & Security

Salary Details

Year 1 - €18,576.48,  Year 2 - TBC,  Year 3 - TBC

What you will need

• Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) to include English, Maths, and Science at either Higher or Ordinary C3/O5 level or above.
• You will be required to hold a full driving licence by the end of your second year. 
• You must demonstrate that you have the legal Right to Work in Ireland.
• Please note, due to site requirements, applicants must be over 18 years of age for this role.

Above all, you’ll have a desire to work in a practical and hands-on career. Ideally, you’ll also have an interest in technology and providing high-quality customer service. We’re looking for individuals who display excellent communication, organisation, and teamworking skills.

About the role

As a security engineer no two days are the same. You’ll be out and about, providing high quality customer service to a wide variety of customers. You’ll be dealing with electronic security systems including intruder alarms, CCTV cameras, and Access Control systems, as either an Installation or Service Engineer. 

Your training programme

The training will consist of up to week-long modules covering theory and practical classroom training, manufacturer systems training, and real-world experience shadowing Chubb engineers in the field. By the end of your training programme, you’ll know how to confidently install, service, and maintain a range of electronic security systems.

Complete the programme and you will join one of our field installation and maintenance teams as a fully qualified engineer. Here your training will continue, with close support from our early careers team. 

Assessment Process

We run a multi-stage assessment process designed to highlight your relevant skills, qualities, and aptitude. You don’t need any previous experience, but it would be a bonus.
