Networking & Security Project Engineer - Glasgow

Our Life Safety and Security engineering team, is at the heart of our business. Multi-skilled across multiple technologies and product ranges, our engineers possess a wide range of knowledge built up over many years. Customer service oriented and driven to deliver the very best levels of engineering, our engineers take pride in their daily work.

This role will include a programme of mentored training and development to assist the individual as required, but also with a view to future progression and succession planning.

Package:

• Salary - £35 - £40k basic DOE plus OTE
• Vehicle – Car or Van (can be used for private use)
• Hours of work - 8 hour day Mon to Fri, generally 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm. Our support team rarely ever work away, are typically home every night.
• 25 days holiday + public holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Install and Commission of our wide range of equipment including, CCTV, Access Control, Wireless P2P & AP, IoT Gateways, Termination and Testing of optical fibre, and system integration with, Fire and Intruder Alarms systems, Public address & Voice Alarm systems.
• Wireless P2P experience with Cambium and Siklu point to point bridges 
• Some cameras are connected to fibre so an engineer with network or data skills is a bonus. 
• Retrofit upgrades / extensions to existing systems as part of remedial works packages.
• Provide high levels of customer services.
• Understanding site plans, to allow installs to take place based on site survey documentation.
• Complete documentation in line with company standards.
• Work within strict H&S guidelines.
• Advise customers on the latest products and services to improve efficiency.
